Moscow, 24 December 2024 – X5 Corporate Centre PJSC (“X5” or the “Company”), a leading Russian food retailer that operates the Pyaterochka, Perekrestok and Chizhik retail chains, is one of the first Russian companies to secure a new, non-standard ticker symbol on the Moscow Exchange (MOEX). Trading in Company stocks under the ticker “X5” will start on 9 January 2025.
Among other things, the new ticker symbol will highlight the history of the current industry leader, which was created following a merger between Perekrestok (meaning “Crossroad” in Russian and represented by the letter “X” in the ticker symbol) and Pyaterochka (meaning “Five” in Russian and represented by “5” in the ticker symbol).
Before trading is launched, the Company would like to remind its shareholders that the Russian Tax Code provides for a special procedure for determining the acquisition price and holding periods with respect to shares in the Company as an economically significant organisation that shareholders received under the procedure for taking direct ownership of shares under Federal Law No. 470-FZ.
