X5 becomes market leader in online sales

Moscow, 20 February 2025X5 Group (“X5” , MOEX ticker: X5), a leading Russian food retailer that operates the Pyaterochka, Perekrestok and Chizhik retail chains, became the market leader in online FMCG sales in Q4 2024,[1] with 37.3 million online orders delivered to customers, an increase of 50% year-on-year. Total home delivery orders placed by X5 customers exceeded 119.5 million in 2024. Sales reached RUB 67.6 billion in Q4 2024, up 48.9% year-on-year. On peak days in December, the number of orders per day exceeded 640 thousand.

This leadership performance was made possible by the Company’s long-term strategy of developing its online sales channel, X5 Digital. The factors that contributed to X5 Digital’s stellar results included a focus on the omnichannel approach, expanding the footprint and boosting the quality of X5’s delivery service, opening unified dark stores that offer a unique assortment, and developing the online storefronts of X5’s retail chains.

By the end of 2024, X5 Group offered express delivery from 8,825 stores (including 7,550 Pyaterochka stores, 890 Perekrestok supermarkets and 385 Chizhik hard discounters), as well as from 35 dark stores in 73 regions of Russia.
