X5 Retail Group charity policy
X5's charity policy is based on three fundamental principles:
1. Social responsibility
The Company carries out activities in the field of charity in such a way that it contributes to the implementation of national programs of socio-economic development, poverty alleviation and support for socially vulnerable groups of population. The Company implements charity projects on its own initiative to provide additional assistance to the population of the territories where it operates.
The Company's charitable activities are focused and targeted. X5 partners reputable charities to implement projects in three priority areas:
- food aid;
- child care;
- supporting people with disabilities.
The Company never provides funding or otherwise supports any organisations other than charities (including businesses, political parties and movements, associations) or any events they hold, nor does it provide charitable financial aid to individuals.
3. Transparency and accountability
The Company provides free access to data on its charitable activities and discloses information on the ways it meets expectations of the society and statutory requirements through its charity efforts. Following this principle, X5 makes disclosures of its charitable activities in its annual report, announces the results of its projects, monitors and reviews requests from non-profit organisations and beneficiaries, and checks the intended use of the charitable contributions.
Anti-corruption and anti-bribery policies
The Company's relationships with its partners are built on mutual respect and trust believing that employees, contracting parties and third parties voluntary comply with business ethics and respect Company's legitimate interests. The Company follows zero tolerance approach for all aspects of corruption, fraudulent practices and unlawful acts. Current
Policy on countering misconduct, including fraud and corruption was implemented with intent to develop corporate culture based on zero tolerance approach.
The Company seeks to acquire information about any known Misconduct of Policy on countering misconduct, including fraud and corruption committed or planned to be committed and encourage disclosure of any known Misconduct committed or planned to be committed.
