Moscow, 25 March 2025 – X5 Group (“X5”, MOEX: “X5”), a leading Russian food retailer, has updated the list of socially important products available at Pyaterochka and Perekrestok stores.
To support customers, X5 has aligned its list of goods with the list established by Russian Government Regulation No. 530. The list of 24 product categories includes beef, pork, lamb (except for boneless meat), chicken, frozen unprocessed fish, butter, sunflower oil, milk, eggs, sugar, salt, tea, flour, rye, wheat and rye-wheat bread, rice, millet, buckwheat, vermicelli, potatoes, cabbage, onions, carrots, and apples.
Each category contains first-price goods for which the price markup will not exceed 5%. These products are available at Pyaterochka and Pyaterochka stores across all regions where the Company operates.
This marks the fourth time that X5 has made a voluntary commitment to adopt a price cap on essential goods since 2020. From December 2020, X5 retail chains applied zero markup on seven products: pasta, bread, canned beef, black tea, potatoes, cereal flakes, and ultra-pasteurised milk. In December 2021, X5 Group capped markups on first-price goods at 10% across more than 20 socially important categories. In October 2024, X5 further expanded this product list.
